How the water shows up in each part of the county

Lower Bucks
Levittown, Bensalem, Bristol, Croydon, Fairless Hills, Langhorne, Morrisville and the Southampton and Feasterville side. The most mid-century housing in the county: Levittown's houses went up between 1952 and 1958 on slabs with no basement, so calls there are often about a crawl space, an addition or water at the slab edge. Neshaminy Creek at Langhorne crested at its third-highest level on record during Ida.

Central Bucks
Doylestown, Newtown, Warminster, Warrington, Chalfont, Richboro, New Hope and Washington Crossing. Old borough houses and newer developments side by side: more than a quarter of Doylestown Borough's homes were built before 1940, and the shale underneath sends rain sideways into the backfill after a long wet spell.

Upper Bucks
Quakertown, Perkasie, Sellersville, Ottsville, Kintnersville and the river towns up to Riegelsville and Durham. More than a quarter of Quakertown Borough's homes were built before 1940, and on big lots the sump line can run a long way across the yard, so where it ends and whether it can freeze in a cold snap matter as much as the pump.
Every basement still gets looked at on its own: two houses on one street can leak for different reasons. Read up on the jobs on the services page.
The first call
The call opens with the street address, then whether the basement is block, poured or stone.
That's enough to set up a visit, and you'll see the written price before a single foot of drain goes in.
